Exploring more ways to serve spinach? Add some pizzazz and flavor into your meal with this easy to make sautéed garlic spinach. It is the perfect side dish to compliment any meal.
- 6 cloves of garlic, chopped
- 1 and ½ pound of spinach leaves, rinsed
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 2 teaspoons of kosher salt
- ¾ teaspoon of ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter
- 1 lemon
Open your Garlic Shaker®. Toss an entire head of garlic into it. Close the lids. Shake vigorously for 30 seconds. Open a lid. Pour out the peeled garlic cloves.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet.
Add the garlic and sauté over medium heat until aromatic and slightly browned.
Add the spinach, salt and pepper into the skillet.
Toss spinach lightly and cover the skillet, continue to cook for about 1 – 2 minutes.
Remove the lid, raise the heat to high and continue to cook for 1 minute, stirring occasionally.
Transfer spinach into a serving dish. Add a squeeze of lemon and top with unsalted butter.
Best served while hot.
