If you’re looking for a new kind of comfort food to relish in when you’re feeling down, then just want to sit back and relax, and try this mouth – watering tasty garlic shrimp scampi recipe.
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced/li>
- 1 cup of brown rice, washed
- 1 and 2/3 cups of water
- 3 tablespoons of butter
- 3 tablespoons of olive oil
- ½ cup of white wine
- 1 and ½ pounds of shrimp, peeled and deveined
- ¼ cup of parsley, finely chopped
Open your Garlic Shaker®. Toss an entire head of garlic into it. Close the lids. Shake vigorously for 30 seconds. Open a lid. Pour out the peeled garlic cloves.
In a small saucepan, combine brown rice and water.
Bring the rice to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cook rice for about 25 minutes, or until the water is absorbed.
In a skillet, heat the olive oil and melt the butter. Sauté the garlic until aromatic for about 1 – 2 minutes.
Pour the white wine and reduce the heat, simmer for 1 – 3 minutes.
Add the shrimp and cook until the color changes into pink on both sides.
Sprinkle parsley on top of the shrimp and cook for an additional of 2 more minutes. Turn off the heat.
Transfer the rice into a serving dish and pour the shrimp over the brown rice.
Best served immediately.
