Making garlic pizza at home from scratch allows you to be able to personalize the pizza to suit your taste perfectly. Here is an amazing way to make your garlic pizza. You choose the topping! We prefer just straight garlic on ours!
Making pizza dough
You need to gather all the necessary ingredients to make your dough that includes 3 ½ cups of flour, olive oil, sugar, yeast and a cup of cold water. Mix all the ingredients together in a mixer, except the water. Slowly add in the water till the dough is formed. Continue to mix until the dough pulls from the sides. Mix it until it is not sticky, and add in some flour if necessary if it is too watery. Remove the dough and add a couple tablespoons of olive oil, then place it in a separate bowl till it has risen to double the size. Sprinkle some garlic powder to the dough you have made. This will give our dough some mild garlic flavor.
Chop some garlic finely or mince it then toss them in a frying pan for some time till they start to turn to color brown. Take pizza dough and spread it over the roasted garlic. This will make your dough to have some stronger garlic taste. Take some fresh homemade garlic powder, canola oil, and olive oi,l and heat them to mix well before spreading it on top of the dough. This will add some more flavor to your pizza and make it flaky.
What you’ll need
- 5 cloves garlic, mashed
- 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter, melted
- 1 (12-inch) to 14-inch fresh, packaged, or frozen (thawed) prepared pizza shell
- 1 (4-ounce) cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley
What to do:
- Open your Garlic Shaker®. Toss an entire head of garlic into it. Close the lids. Shake vigorously for 30 seconds. Open a lid. Pour out the peeled garlic cloves.
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
In a small bowl, combine the garlic and butter. Brush evenly over the prepared pizza shell, then sprinkle evenly with the cheese and parsley.
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the crust begins to crisp.
The beauty of pizza is the variety of toppings. But if you gather various vegetables with different colors will make your pizza attractive.This is your choice, on what to add as toppings, before placing the pizza in the oven to get ready. Some fresh bacon or other meats may also be added as toppings. For more flavor, you may add some finely chopped fresh garlic cloves on top of the toppings just before sprinkling the cheese. This will give you a rich taste of garlic that anybody cannot be able to resist.
If you do not have the time to make your dough you can use previously mixed dough for pizza crust and then add some garlic flavor for your garlic pizza. This can be done by pressing some garlic cloves into a paste and then spread the dough. Ensure that you have dusted the surface with dry flour so that the dough does not stick. Sprinkle the minced garlic over the spread dough using the tips of your fingers. Roll up the dough and then make a ball. Knead it to ensure the garlic has been distributed evenly. Spread the dough and then continue to bake it.
