Garlic Cheddar Biscuits with Eggs and Bacon

If you are experimenting with newer ways to enjoy a fresh batch of garlic cheddar biscuits then try this innovative recipe. We are sure that you’ll go crazy for it.

Ingredients

For the biscuits

  • 4 tablespoons of cold butter, plus a separate 1 tablespoon
  • 2 and ¾ cups of all – purpose flour
  • 1 cup of buttermilk
  • 4 tablespoons of baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon of garlic, finely minced
  • 2 cups of cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 teaspoon of kosher salt

For the sandwiches

  • 12 biscuits
  • 4 hard – boiled eggs, peeled and sliced
  • 12 pieces of bacon, cooked

Cooking Instructions

For the biscuits

    1. Open your Garlic Shaker®. Toss an entire head of garlic into it. Close the lids. Shake vigorously for 30 seconds. Open a lid. Pour out the peeled cloves.
    2. Preheat the oven to about 450 Degrees Fahrenheit.
    3. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, garlic and cheese in a large bowl.
    4. Add the 4 tablespoons of butter and mix until mixture turns into coarse crumbs.
    5. Pour buttermilk into the mixture and stir until the dough forms.
    6. Lightly flour a flat, clean surface and knead the dough and shape into ½ inch thick form.
    7. Using a biscuit cutter, cut of 2-inch sized biscuits until all the dough has been used.
    8. Place the biscuits on a parchment lined tray and baked for about 15 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown.
    9. Remove from the oven and set aside to cool.

For the sandwiches

  1. Separate the warm biscuits into top and bottom halves.
  2. Place in between slices of egg and a piece of bacon. Repeat this process for all remaining biscuits.
  3. Best served immediately.
