Be the talk of your neighborhood with this sinfully yummy BBQ garlic lime chicken recipe. Serve with a side of corn on the cob, roasted red potatoes, or coleslaw.
- 8 cloves of garlic, minced/li>
- 4 pounds of chicken, cleaned and cut into pieces/li>
- 2 teaspoons of kosher salt/li>
- 2 teaspoons of ground black pepper/li>
- 1 and ½ cup of lime juice/li>
- 1 cup of olive oil/li>
- ½ cup of cilantro, chopped
Open your Garlic Shaker®. Toss an entire head of garlic into it. Close the lids. Shake vigorously for 30 seconds. Open a lid. Pour out the peeled garlic cloves.
In a small bowl, combine the salt and pepper and rub the chicken pieces evenly.
Place the chicken into large, re-sealable plastic bags.
In a medium bowl, combine the lime juice, olive oil, garlic and cilantro. Mix well until combined.
Pour the mixture into the bag with the chicken pieces. Marinate the chicken in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
Preheat the outdoor grill.
In a small saucepan, boil the chicken with the marinade for about 1 – 2 minutes.
Grill the chicken for about 30 minutes, brushing with marinade every 10 minutes. Remove from the grill when chicken is cooked, or until juices run clear.
Transfer into a serving dish and serve.
